Lama Migmar fled Tibet in 1959 to India and ended up in Cambridge, MA in 1989. Back in June of 2017, Lama Migmar spoke about the 6 perfections during my 200-hour yoga teacher training. What an inspiring talk to learn about generosity, morality, patience, effort, contemplation and wisdom.
In January 2020, another opportunity presented it self during my 300-hour yoga teacher training to hear Lama Migmar speak about this book that he wrote. Might as well read the book before…..
Through the Buddhist path to awakening, we build our faith, appreciate opportunities to awaken, build our karma, find limitless love and compassion for all beings and achieve relative and ultimate Bodhicitta, the Awakened Mind. When most thinking of awakening, the word Enlightenment comes to mind. To work towards our Awakened Mind or Enlightenment, we need to work on our faith, our opportunities to investigate and practice, directing our energy through karma, experience joy through compassion for all beings, relaxing in our body and mind, concentrating in our meditations and finding equanimity through the insight we find.
